Comment: | Alternative name "Λίβυς", i.e. ´the Libyan´ in Armenian version of Eusebius according to Moretti (see also the edition by Christesen) - JS/CT A Ti. Kl. Iason Magnus was priest of Apollo around 177-180 CE (SEG 9.172). Though Magnus may be a common name as pointed out by Moretti, SEG 60.1838 (late 2nd c CE) records a Ti. Kl. Iason Magnus as victorious and, therefore, we may indeed identify this Ti. Kl. Iason Magnus as the Magnus recorded by Eusebius. [DvdL] |
